Mystery Picture

Ok, I give up. Usually I enjoying taking pictures of things and then researching their use/origins - I learn a lot this way. I can't get anything on this one, though. Other than assuming this protrusion is for a radar; what is this? Looks like Pinnochio!

Hi there. Hard to say without looking inside, but as you expected such "covers" would normally house radar antenna, or other such electronic gadgets. It's a BAC111 run by (I think) Northrop/Grumman, so maybe they're tinkering with new weather radar?

I agree with Mike. Northrop/Grumman. Used to be Westinghouse. Based at BWI. It's used to test new military radar products. I've seen it with an F-16 radome some years ago. I doubt if there is more than 1 of these anywhere.
